Why We are Called Wilcot Group

In 1995, we expanded our family to include two cats from the family farm. After a lot of consideration, we named one Willie and the other quickly came to be known as Cotton.

Wilcot is the combination of both of their names: WILlie and COTton.

On May 28, 2004, we lost our beloved Cotton to a coyote. He was killed in our front yard and I had the misfortune of hearing it start and seeing it end. We will miss you, Cotton Kitty. Thank you for a fantastic nine years. We hope you are in Cat Heaven exploring and having a great time! You deserve it. We have a page on this site devoted to information about the coyote problem, specifically in Multnomah County, Oregon where we live.
